While in comfortable territory Monday with Greta Van Susteren on Fox, Scott Walker discussed the recall election.  He expects that most of the money against him will come from out of state, and that it will be the Waterloo for unions.  I'm continually confused by how Walker can continue to say that the dismantling of public unions in Wisconsin was a simple matter of economics, but he (and other GOP politicians) keep making this a life-and-death struggle between freedom and unions.  It can't be both.

Kelda Helen Roy's speech from last night about the continued war on women in our legislature. I've come to think of it as the "Women and Children Last" session.  This was one of many such speeches last night (and in to today).

The Uppity Wisconsin BlogTalkRadio show returns tomorrow after a long hiatus.  For quite a while Blue Cheddar and I did a daily radio show about the "troubles" in Madison until we both wised up and decided we needed to start doing other things.   The return of the BlogTalkRadio show will be much more low-key, and will not be on a regular schedule, at least for the time being.

We will be doing, among other things, interviews with prospective candidates in the recall election.  The Tuesday March 13 show will feature an interview with Doug La Follette, prospective candidate for Governor.   Joining me on the interview will be Emily Mills of Dane 101, who will do the interview with La Follette with me, and will also talk to me about recent political goings-on in the state.

FightingBobFestNorth is the northern edition of FightingBobFest. This year there will be another great roster of inspriring speakers, workshops, food, beer, and progressive fun. This is a nonpartisan event featuring speakers from around the country giving inspiring talks. And this year it will feature imbporved beer, more great music, and more.  We learned a lot putting together FightingBobFestNorth last year for the first time, and expec this to be an even better experience this year.

After a day of exciting talk, come to Netroots Wisconsin 2012 for a day of work.  We will have a range of workshops, small discussion groups, panels, and -- well, whatever it is that you want to do.   Netroots Wisconsin will be right down the road from Fighting Bob, We also learned a lot from putting this on last year, and in particular we learned that progressives really like their food, and we should do a better job of providing it. Which I promise we willl.
