Bomb Threat Closes Middleton, WI polling place
Posted November 4th, 2008 by Steve Hanson
The polling place in Middleton was closed around 3 PM due to a bomb threat. Voters were asked to vote at an alternative polling place, and we have heard that poll workers are seeking an extension of voting time for the poll.
Meanwhile, up here in Downsville, WI, my voting was totally straightforward, with short lines and no problems.

Tragedy at the Polls
Over the past few weeks I was asked severial times if I was going to vote early. I told eveyone that I would vote on the 4th. My motivation was the bake sale. On voting day there is a bake sale. There is always a plate or 2 of lemon bars for $2. And they are great lemon bars. But when I arrived with $2 in hand, I found out there was no bake sale today. This has to be a plot by the Republicans to keep people from voting. The theory is I walk in, find there is no bake sale and leave without voting. You just can't trust those Republicans. This is an unmitigated tragedy. If only the Obama poll watchers had been there to right this terrible wrong.
