Car Free Day at the Market & the SpokesnFolks Parade
Car Free Day at the Market & the SpokesnFolks Parade
A day of local events celebrating World Car Free Day will culminate with a
festival at Cameron Park on Friday, September 22 from 4 until dark. There
will be music and other entertainment as well as a wealth of information
on how to live car free, all coinciding with the Cameron Park Market. We
will have a candlelight peace vigil after dark. Bring your own windproof
candle.
On Saturday, September 23, the SpokesnFolks Parade returns to continue its
colorful history as a celebration of human powered transportation. Everyone
is invited to join the parade, whether they walk, bike, skate, or whatever.
Anything goes as long as it's human powered, and flamboyant creativity is
encouraged. Really great prizes will be offered for the best displays.
Gather at Cameron Park at 1.
