D. James Kennedy, the founder and leader of the Coral Ridge Ministry, whose biblical TV sermons often took a second seat to his political agenda, was a close ally to the neocons of Washington DC. Born of an alcoholic, and a teenaged indulger of 'every sin imaginable ( his own quote), he was a teacher at an Arthur Murray Dance Studio when God' indoctrinated him via a radio preacher.

He helped John Ashcroft start a Capitol ill Bible Reading Group, before he was US Atty General; he led the Florida march to 'save' Terri Shaivo which began his crusade against the ACLU; he coined the phrase 'gay agenda' and began a series of 're-eduation camps' to 'cure' the afflicted.

Kennedy's rants and diatribes went so far as to claim the ACLU was out to destroy God, as were activist judges, unmarried mothers, liberals, Democrats, Catholics, Protestants, teachers, professors, did I mention the ACLU....he really hated that group.

He advocated censorship of the media, in book publishing and proposed a concept that offended nearly everyone. " Christian Nationalism"- where one faith, like Iran's Supreme Council, would rule the US. Only Coral Ridge Evangelicals need apply.

Kennedy received the ALCU's "Most Dangerous Man Alive" title for his bizarre attacks on civil liberties.

Like Falwell, his voice is now silent, and the free world is free of another huckster, out to make personal millions at the expense and promotion of clearly 'unholy' ideologies.

Kennedy was also a local equal opportunity attacker, often chiding other churches in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Rev. Harold McSwain, pastor of a United Church of Christ in Fort Lauderdale, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel: "I've had to deal with a lot of wounded people coming to me in tears and in anger because of the kind of hate he fosters."

"Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost," he said.

An identical purpose of Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda; if you replace America with the world, and Christ with Islam.
