I think you miss the point. Citizens have a right to not be defenseless in the worst-case scenario. Would you really have wanted to be without a weapon in New Orleans at the time of the flood?

Would you really want to be without a weapon during a Military Coup? Don't you want to rise up with your fellow Americans and restore our country?

Oh yeah... Zombie infestations...

Honestly... I am as liberal as you can get but I'm not stupid. Being trained and owning guns is the best thing you can do for your family and country. If you want to keep the guns locked up in three safes and never look at them (in case of emergency) that's cool. But do not... be unprepared and ask those of us for help during the worst-case scenario.
