Car Free Day at the Market & the SpokesnFolks Parade
A day of local events celebrating World Car Free Day will culminate with a
festival at Cameron Park on Friday, September 22 from 4 until dark. There
will be music and other entertainment as well as a wealth of information
on how to live car free, all coinciding with the Cameron Park Market. We
will have a candlelight peace vigil after dark. Bring your own windproof

EYES WIDE OPEN TRAVELING TO MENOMONIE

“Eyes Wide Open,” the American Friends Service Committee’s widely-acclaimed remembrance on the human cost of the Iraq War, will travel to Menomonie, Friday, September 29. The exhibit, personalized for Wisconsin, features a pair of boots honoring each Wisconsin military casualty, a field of shoes to memorialize the Iraqis killed in the conflict, and a display exploring the history, cost and consequences of the war.

together activists from around the state to share ideas and make
connections between people and issues. This year's assembly, on the
theme, "Peace for All Ages", will focus on the work being done in
Wisconsin to bring generations together to work for peace and justice.
Peacemakers of the Year will also be recognized with a reception that
afternoon.
