James E. Groppi Unity Bridge. Gather at north and south ends of the Bridge from Clybourn to Pierce Street. This celebration falls on the 40th Anniversary of Milwaukee’s Open Housing Marches. The March On Milwaukee project hopes that by commemorating the open housing movement we will not only acknowledge and honor past efforts, but re-ignite discussions and refocus attention to problems of social inequity that lay unresolved.
