Cambrians for Thoughtful Development

Cambrians for Thoughtful Development are a diverse group of citizens living in and around the village of Cambria in Columbia County, Wisconsin. We organized in 2002 in opposition to plans by Didion Milling to build an ethanol plant here in Cambria and within a quarter mile of our schools. Although the citizens of Cambria rejected the plant in 2003, in April of 2006 we learned that the same company is seeking to build an ethanol plant a scant 22 feet south of our village border.

Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters

Established in 2002, the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters (WLCV)
is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to electing
conservation leaders to the state legislature and encouraging lawmakers
to champion conservation policies that effectively protect Wisconsin's
public health and natural resources. In pursuit of its mission, the
WLCV engages in voter education, lobbying and issue advocacy. The WLCV
also issues candidate endorsements and actively works for the election
of candidates committed to strong and effective conservation policies.
