New York Times - Faces of the Dead

Although I think it is great that we're starting the new year, and looking forward to a more sane legislature than we've had for quite a while - this is a reminder of where we actually are and one of the ways in which we have a long way to go.

The New York Times on-line is featuring this graphic of the 3000 who have died in the so-called war against terror. It's a chilling reminder of what our policies in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost us in the last several years. Please take a look - sadly, at this point most of us know one of these young persons - and to see them in a sea of others is truly saddening.

Let's look forward to working to make this stop in 2007.
