The Progressive Webmasters of Wisconsin is an organization of web sites devoted to progressive causes.

The Progressive Messengers

The niche we fill within the progressive infrastructure is primarily as a work site. Although our members are encouraged to post any material they would like to discuss, we are not considered a political blog for debate purposes. The Progressive Messengers is a site where progressives gather to craft policy message and distribute. In short, we attempt to be an echo chamber of the left. Although we host a blog, it is not our main function. Our site is closed to the general public with admittance by invitation and referal. We seek partners in Wisconsin to enhance and support the work we do. BTW - I attempted to sign up but found I could not even begin to explain what we do in 250 characters. Advise?

It really needs to fit in the 250 char limit - it's just a VERY brief description of the site - think of it as an elevator pitch. It needs to fit on the same page with all the other sites. It's just there to describe your site in enough detail so that people will know if they want to look at the site. Frankly, I don't think ANYBODY even ever looks at the web ring page except me, so I wouldn't worry a lot about the description.

What is a "progressive"?

Someone who believes making guns illegal will keep those who do not obey the law from using them?

Someone who believes killing unborn babies is OK but killing people who kill is not OK?

Someone who believes raising taxes will foster business?

Someone who believes gambling and lotteries are a good way to raise state funds?

Someone who believes man-made global warming is going to destroy earth?
