Unfortunately it's the way of the world
Consolidation of the big brewers keeps happening to the point where when you open a can of that familiar lawn-mower brew, you're drinking a little bit of the rest of the world - and you have to know that even if it was made in the US the profits are going elsewhere.
All the more reason to support the many excellent Wisconsin run and owned breweries - and if you just have to have that light lager, the stuff being turned out in LaCrosse by City Brewery is at least recognizable as beer.
Or of course, you can follow the true Uppity Wisconsin way and make your own. That reminds me - I need to fill a keg this afternoon.

Thanks for the info, Steve.
I may have to learn that trade myself.
