Big Tent

Big Tent

So far today I've been hanging out in the Big Tent in Denver .  It's a tent set up by DailyKOS, ProgressNow, Google, Digg, and a number of local organizations in Denver.  It's a place for bloggers to hang out, watch presentations and panels, and eat and drink beer.  So -if you want to see what a lot of blogger action looks like in one place --

Big Tent at Democratic Convention

Over the weekend we got a couple of surprises related to the Democratic Convention.

1.  We found out that we're going to be able to participate in the Big Tent in Denver , which is a - well, big tent that is being set up to accommodate bloggers, feed us, fill us full of drinks, and give us a place to work and congregate and meet people.  Which is cool, but it's one more thing to pay for Frown. (Speaking of which - we're still looking for donations to help pay for part of the trip - see the widget at the bottom of the page --- And to the guy who donated one cent - thanks I guess, even though it cost us 40 cents to process your 1 cent donation.)

2.  We received a very nice letter from Russ Feingold congratulating Uppity Wisconsin on our  being chosen as the Wisconsin State Blogger Corps representative, and thanking us for - well - being uppity.  Thanks back to Russ for everything.
