Prepared by two University of Chicago political scientists who study state legislatures nationally, the chart shows that Wisconsin's lawmaking body is the fifth most polarized in the nation. Which, you might snicker, explains how fifth-columnist reasonable guy Scott Walker and his gang of merry authoritarians in the legislature have managed to ram all sorts of crazy legislation into being, and why more than one pundit kids about us becoming Wisissippi.
