Scott Walker knows no bottom politically, and once again he's messing with Wisconsin's election process in an effort to make it easier for guys like him to win election. Walker says he'd like to get rid of same-day voter registration in the state. He says that would help beleaguered election officers who are absolutely swamped with too much work -- a lie, but hey, that's our governor.

Republican lawmakers have an unlimited capacity for mischief, especially when it comes to trying to delay the inevitable recall elections coming sooner or later this year.

State Rep. Robin Vos has asked the Government Accountability Board to create an online, searchable data base of everyone who signs a recall petition.

Why? So citizens can search the hundreds of thousands of names looking for mistakes, he says:

"I can't imagine why you wouldn't appreciate the help of people all over Wisconsin who better know the names and streets in their own communities than a staff person at GAB."

Can you imagine the chaos that would create, with everyone and his brother checking for possible errors? It would be quite convenient, though, for the right-wing vigilantes who seem interested in punishing people who exercise their rights to recall an elected official.

A lot has been made that Rep. Vos is the Wisconsin state chair of the American Legislative Exchange Council's (ALEC) Wisconsin state chair, but last year's state chair corporate lap dog responsibilities were done by none other than Wisconsin's two law-breakin' men of the hour: Sen. Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald and then Representative and now D.O.A. Secretary Mike Huebsch.

So, if you were wondering if those two were obeying a higher power in their law-breakin' spree the last couple of months, you were right.
