WisconsinEye Public Affairs Network is a means of disseminating information vital to the future of our democracy. Our core mission: To provide independent, unfettered access to the actions of state government. Internet webcasting of selected state government action and public policy events began in April 2006. An around-the-clock cable television channel, under development, will follow. WisconsinEye Network is a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit entity funded entirely by individuals, foundations, organizations and corporations.

There can't really be much of a surprise here - the once-proud technology leader has seen its stock plummet, its profits go down the drain, and has fired a substantial part of its work force. So nobody in the tech sector was taken aback by this morning's announcement. The Chapter 11 announcement will probably not have any immediate effect on the Chippewa Falls facility, but no plans have yet been announced.

Got back last night from the MinneBar unconference in Minneapolis. Okay then, so it wasn't a Wisconsin event, but it was a great experience.
