A new report available on the U.S.Pirg web site discusses the new wave of coal power plants that are planned all around the country. Despite the promises of "clean coal" very few of these new plants will incorporate the new technology, and will be essentially the same dirty old coal plants we've been living with.

The report discusses the issues with this and the major impacts it will have if even a small portion of these proposed plants are actually built.

This report is particularly crucial to my part of the state due to the possible proposed large coal plant in the Tyrone area.
