Thanks for subscribing to the Uppity Wisconsin Newsletter. I thought it was finally time to actually send one out.

Uppity Wisconsin is rolling along, and there are a few items of interest:

• We're starting an organization of progressive web sites in the state, called the Progressive Webmasters of Wisconsin. We had a booth at Fighting Bob Fest last week, and that was a pretty big success, so we're happy about that.
• Please remember that this is your web site as much as it is mine - I'd really like to see more people contributing, so if you're at all interested remember that you can write your own blog here, contribute events to the calendar, or add in whatever other content you might want. If you're feeling a little intimidated, drop me a line - we can help.
• We're sponsoring the first of a series of progressive films on Oct. 8, 2006. We will be showing the film Iraq For Sale, by Robert Greenwald. This is a great film about profiteering and the Iraq War. We'll be showing it at the Menomonie Public Library on Oct. 9 at 6:30 PM.
