Smoking Ban

While I agree that sitting, eating, drinking in a smokey environment isn't exactly my cup of tea, I am shocked to read that many reports, including one done by Johns Hopkins have found that second hand smoke really isn't a health threat, at least not in the way many anti-tobacco activists would lead you to believe. I am not a smoker, but believe there is inherent value in letting citizens make up their own mind as to what they should and shouldn't be allowed to do. While many see this as a blatant health issue, it is obviously much bigger and will most certainly have a major effect on the power of States rights in the future. I urge people not to come to a conclusive decision regarding such ban's without really looking into the issues at hand.
TheIssue.com has a great feature on Smoker's Rights. In the wake of many recent indoor smoking ban's, issues regarding the constitutionality of said ban's have emerged (once again). For in depth, objective and insightful coverage on smoking ban's, check out TheIssue.com.
